About Me

I am a photographer, costumer, belly dancer, currently with a sideline into burlesque. I have a voracious appetite for reading and my library tells me so. I write to quiet the voices that sneak into my head. I love sci/fi, gaming, media, comic book and any nerdy convention you can dream up. I volunteer for Phoenix Comicon and can usually be found running about taking pictures of famous people. I learned to knit so I could make a Jayne hat, and usually can be found with yarn and needles on my person. I love online webcomics and hope to make it to PAX soon. I love to travel and had the trip of a life time to Europe in 2006. I collect nerdy shirts and and bad movies. I am also a make-up worshiper, and believe sparkles are the greatest achievement of mankind. My make up collection rivals that of a pro artist, I should just sign my life over to Sephora. I love tasteful tattoos. I have several myself and can be convinced to show them if you ask nicely. I also have horrid insomnia so spend hours of my life not sleeping playing Torchlight while waiting for Diablo III to come out. Dancing gives me an excuse to play dress up.

I have a very dry sense of humor, often falling back are sarcasm. This hides a rather shy personality. Although shy, I have no shame in talking to pretty much anyone. I have a soft spot for long hair on men. I am like a raccoon or crow, I lust after things that glitter or sparkle.

I have three tattoos, all that are covered by a regular shirt. They take up most of my left rib cage and lower back. I have a Koi swimming with lotus blossoms, this one is not fully colored yet but it will get there before too long. I also have a large lotus with the "Om" symbol in the center of it. It goes from just under the bra line to my hips and about 3 inches off the spine on either side. This is not a tramp stamp. Finally I have a small green trinity know about 3 inches in diameter that sits on my right hip. These are easily covered up, but I often display them when I wear my belly dance costumes. I have very pale skin so the colors are vibrant. I am short (5'2), with naturally dark auburn (dark red with lighter highlights) that i like to dye to bring out the red more. I have hazel eyes that like to meander from a bright green to a light brown with a dark green circle around the iris. They change with what i am wearing, my feelings at the moment or for no reason. I have a curvy figure that I quite like. My skin is described as petal soft. I do have a larger rear end that has been envied admired and slapped too many times. Physical doesn't really matter to me because I am looking for friends not eye candy. I don't want to be eye candy either. I respect your mind not your body and hope the same in return.

I work for myself currently, which is to say with out my husband I would be a starving artist. I knit, sew and make my own tribal costumes, I have a deep passion  for photography and try to practice everyday.

Again take the time to ask me, I hate filling this out, it feels like an application.

My family is mostly my friends. Friends are the family we choose for ourselves, and can be just as dis functional  as blood.

Reading, writing, knitting, crafting of all sorts, costuming, dancing, photography, travel, conventions, if it is nerdy or geeky, or fun in anyway I am up to try it at least twice.

I have a number of friends and love them all. We spend a lot of time table-top gaming with bad puns and sharp banter. I am always on the look out for new and interesting people.

Someone who understands why a lot of my social activity revolves around table top gaming. Is not afraid of a woman who is smart,geeky and a girly girl at the same time.  Someone who wants to dance with me or  watch see me dance. Some one who is not freaked out when I check out other woman, or men for that matter.  Someone to read with or exchange books with.  Someone who might want to model for me for picture shoots.  Someone who doesn't care that Steam Punk is over done and thinks that stuff made out of old watch parts is cool. Someone who wants to go to conventions with me and my friends, who likes to play dress up too.  I am not looking for another husband/boyfriend/girlfriend, I am looking for friends and companionship. Friends who will not run away screaming when they meet my current friends.  Someone who is not freaked out my alternative life styles and will hold my other hand when I get my belly  re-pierced, or get my rib cage finished tattooing. Someone that will stand with my husband and friends at a punk concert and protect me from the mosh pit.  Someone who doesn't fear flirtation or physical affection. Someone who can laugh and tease me about still loving marching band, but who be mean or nasty about it.  In general don't be mean.

I have Celiac, which means I spend my life without wheat rye and barley.  No beer for me.  If you have it, Mead is always a welcome drink.  No Chaucers.  I have to be a picky eater and a bit of a pest in resturaunts 

Everything in moderation.  If you go out and get hammered everyday or weekend, please don't try to be my friend. If you drink now and again and get drunk every once in a while that is fine and I may join you a time or two.  But if you puke on my floor, on my bed, sofa, or friends guitar case, get ready to pay to clean it.

I have to be on a special diet, it is not to lose weight but because of the foods I am able to eat.  Dieting is fine as long as you don't go overboard.

With the medication I am, I don't need drugs.  If you have taken them in the past that is fine, or you have been prescribed certain meds, that is fine.  If you are self medicating with pretty much any drug, don't do it around me, bring it into my home,  and if I go to your home, let me know what you have there so I can run away before the cops kick in the door

I enjoy old fashions from Victorian era up to the fabulous 50's early sixties. I even like the punk, goth, emo, steam punk look.  I don't wear anything that doesn't have classic lines in it and think modern day fashion, fashion models, and the whole industry needs a wake up call.

I work out when I am not sick, and I dance every week, sometimes every day.  I am not ripped and toned, I have curves and padding where it should be and I quite like them there.  Some sort of exercise is needed to keep you healthy though, so if you are doing Wii fit, go to the gym, other activity that gets your blood pumping and sweat going, awesome.

Please please please have it.  I may have clutter in my home, but I bathe everyday sometimes twice a day. If you have long hair and like soft smooth hair on a woman, expect that I would like the same thing, woman or man. Make sure you wash yourself, brush your teeth, and put on clean undies. Deodorant is there for a reason, use it.  Axe does not count as cologne!

Other peoples kids are great. Someday I hope to have one or two of my own, but not right now.  

I love my pets, we have two cats that are our furry friends. Pets are awesome as long as they are well behaved and well taken care of. 

I have lots of them, to many and to complex to put into a little box, I can fit many labels but none are right. Liberal, leftist, moderate.  Please don't attach a label to me as I will promptly do something that changes it.

I am agnostic. Through choice and through years and years of indoctrination attempts by many churches.  My family is Irish Catholic so I am a champ at Catholic DDR. (Stand up, sit down, kneel, rinse and repeat), as well as Baptist, LDS, and General Christian.  I have nothing against them, but if you are a part of a church and expect me to participate, convert, or enjoy it, you are sorely mistaken.

No chain smoking please, I don't mind cloves or hookahs.
