About Me

HI! My name is Chauntelle (nickname: Ceyi Ceyi) Laflen. I am a easy going, happy and random goth girl. I love art, and I have a passion for drawing and painting my own artwork. I love reading; I think you could even call me a bit of a bookworm. I read mostly fantasy, though I occasionally read non-fiction about the world around me, including cultures. I grew up watching re-runs of Star Trek, and my favorite episodes are those including the Tribbles, the surprising mortal enemies of the Klingons. I love Star Wars, and tv shows like Dr. Who, Torchwood, Chuck, and Stargate SG1. I play old school games alot more than newer ones, like Mario, Donkey Kong, and Ratchet and Clank. I dress very much like a goth, and I feel it to be only part of my varied style of dress. I collect costumes, and strange hats (my guilty passion), and I love strange and new things.

I am very easygoing, and most of the time very optimistic. I am artistic and creative, with a passion for the little things in life. I will often stop to smell the roses (literally), pick up a penny on the sidewalk if its heads up. I smile alot, and I like to make people happy as well. I see every day as a new day, and enjoy the life. I am extremely stubborn sometimes, and I can be a little bossy when I get irritated. I am Bipolar, and I take medicine every day religiously to help with it. I have had it since I was 8 years old, so I have quite alot of practice at living with it. I am resourceful, and quite practical. I have never had a lot of money ever in my life, so I am thrifty and good at budgeting or finding alternative resources for problems

I am brunette/blonde, with a sweetheart shaped face. I have very fair skin. I have light hazel green eyes that change with my moods. I am of a large build, but I am shapely with a sense of fashion that makes my build flattering. I am 5'3", and I often need a step stool to reach items on the top shelves. :P

My mother is an engineer for the government, working on ADA Retrofits and other accessibility issues for parks.
My sister is currently married, and working with her husband on a game design.

My friends are mostly geeks, with a few that are not, but are equally amazing. My sister and my mother are my best friends, and they are both geeks as well. My mom is an engineer, and my sister is a gamer girl to the max. Must run in the family, I guess. :D

Someone who is educated, and intelligent, and has a practical sense for money and finances. I would like someone who can make me laugh, while still being gentlemanly and courtly. I am not picky about looks, but I do want some one with same or similar interests. They must have a passion for reading.

I am an oldfashioned romantic, and love to pamper, and be pampered. I do not expect things like gifts, I more expect the gentlemanly courtesy that should accompany relationships.

I love rum, and most forms of alcohol. I am not an excessive drinker, and I do not want a heavy or angry drinker.

Its a touchy subject for most people, though I will discuss it as long as the conversation doesn't get too heated.

Smoking is ok, though I don't smoke myself.
