About Me

OK, I'd thought I got over this needing a relationship thing, but, God willing, I'll give it another try. Tried E-harmony thinking I might find someone with similar beliefs and interests, but when you put your pic up they lose interest real fast. Not that I'm ugly, just overweight like most Nerds! Spend too much time doing my own thing and not keeping my body fresh for any particular someone.... If someone doesn't like me for who I am then let them get over it! I'm not averse to a bit of self improvement, but I wouldn't do it for just anyone- know what I mean?

Family Life: Clean but moderately dysfunctional. My mom won't talk about personal stuff and can't understand that some of us need to! My brother and I are born again Christians.  Mom and my sister won't even talk about religion with us anymore. And don't even bring up politics!

Places I've Traveled to: England and New England again! I'd love to see Australia especially the animals...   loved Kentucky Tennessee and Smokies as a kid so I'd like to revisit those, too. Hobbies and Interests: Animal anything, singing, gardening, crafts (right now it's Stained Glass), Bible Study, Remodeling.   Exploring the natural world, birding and fishing if I had the time off...I'm not really heavily into computers, just in making them do what I need them to do- I WebHost non-profit websites in my town and show people how to maintain their own sites.I was a horseaholic, but have had to give that up... Hope springs eternal- I still have my stuff ;o))

Social Circle / Friends: Christians- Crazy and saved Bikers, ex drug addicts and alcoholics, and some 'normees' too. My roommate is 9 years older and somewhat disabled by epilepsy. She's my Dog babysitter and I'm grateful for her- we're pretty close and while I care for her, it would not keep me from falling in love again with the right man...What you do for Fun: Watch movies, run the dogs, occasional theater, music, crafts, Christian seminars, concerts and events Ideal Date: Good food and a family movie or not too raunchy comedy. Actually, do I need to "date"? just doing fun things like taking the dogs to the lake or exploring a natural area or visiting a museum would be great and worth spending time doing if I did them with someone else.Typical Weekend:  Mostly I work on DIY projects at home, maybe go to a movie or rent videos.  Sunday AM Church and then relaxLooking for in a Relationship: Good friendship first. If I were to marry again, I would want someone who would take the lead as Spiritual Leader in the family. If he has kids, it would be a blessing to me as I never had my own.

Personality: Generally quiet and steady, but I get emotional talking about me as a person. Somewhat competitive in a group situation, but I hang back until I know what I'm going to say, then try to get a word in edgewise...Sense of humor: Like to laugh along with others- not the life of the party but I'll help and host it....Temper / Tolerance level: Tolerant of most people, very patient, a good listener, don't like to be teased too much.... I cry when I get real angry which confuses people.Weaknesses: Some people find me intimidating- I think it's because I am generally self-assured, but I'd like to know what I can do to give a better first impression....Special Certificates or Abilities: Registered Vet Tech, Phlebotomist I have rebuilt 3 engines, remodeled my house extensively, put in a pool and deck myself, do all kinds of crafts, developed a community website and host others, trap all kinds of information in my brain, written a 501(c)3 application, learned QuickBooks. I have tried a lot of different things, some of which have been quite successful ;o)Degrees: Bachelors in Biology/Environmental StudiesExtracurricular Activities: Just Doin' my own thing with Jesus ;o) Sing in a Christian worship band, teach Sunday School, Help run a non-profit group to support clean and sober living.Life Improvement: Read my Bible and pray more. Drinking: I don't drink and prefer sober people.  I'm not against alcohol- just against Drunkeness!

Eating Habits: I'll eat just about anything- sometimes to excess!
