I love to listen to new music and music genres I haven't heard before. I can't listen to the same old thing for very long. But I also like to listen to the classics and can stray into rockabilly and classic country (think Johnny Cash.) Usually, though, the more alternative the music, the better. I especially like new wave, gothic, industrial, ethereal, celtic and classical music. Throw in a bit of good ol' punk rock and you got it.
I am re-learning to take better care of myself - exercising, becoming a much more social person again (i.e. I get out and do things!), hanging out with my pets, playing games - board, computer/video, tabletop, even sporting stuff. I like to walk (so does the dog), bike, go to restaurants and movies, experiment with cooking, read and listen to music. As a former radio DJ, music is a HUGE part of my life.
I love Star Trek and most science fiction. But I also enjoy old horror films, fantasy, adventure, Jason and the Argonauts, Dune, The Fifth Element, 300, Mystery Men, A Walk In The Sun, Lord of The Rings, Planet of the Apes, Batman Begins, A Christmas Story, Blade Runner, The Road Warrior, To Kill a Mockingbird, Gone With the Wind, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, Repo Man (not Repo Men), Young Frankenstein, Dune, Galaxy Quest, Sherlock Holmes, District 9.TV Shows: Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Heroes, Superman, Fawlty Towers, Bugs Bunny Cartoons, Mythbusters, Babylon 5, Addams Family, V, Alien Nation.I am fascinated by curling. I like Major League Baseball (Yankees fan), football and you might even catch me at a Lightning hockey game. And just because I like some spectator sports, it doesn't mean I'm one of those guys who lives and dies by catching the game-of-the-day.I have a ton of music and my tastes are incredibly diverse (see also: radio DJ experience. Heh.). I don't really put my taste into one specific genre - so many of them have all sorts of different sounds to offer. It's nuts to shut any one out in particular without giving it at least a chance. Check out my journal and listen to my radio stations.I like to experiment food-wise. I'll try almost anything once. I am particularly fond of Mexican food. Also like pie, sushi, NY Style Pizza, steak and cheeses - nope, not a vegetarian. (But I wouldn't mind if you were one!) I think life would be a real downer if there was no such thing as cheese.I make one heck of a key lime pie - it is always demanded for holiday get togethers.I can't even begin to list how many books I like. I like Tolkien, Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy, science fiction, cyberpunk, Arthurian tales and science fact books. Did someone say nerd? Suffice to say, I enjoy reading.
