Recommended Games?

Each of us has our favorites we'd like to recommend, and I'm curious what some of those might be.  To start off, I'll list five of my own, though there are of course many more than that:
 
System Shock 2 (PC WIN) - An FPS RPG with perfect atmosphere for that immersive gaming experience.
Anvil of Dawn (PC DOS CD) - Another atmospheric and engrossing title.  Proof positive that a game can be art.
Exile (TurboGrafx 16 CD) - Great game with cool cutscenes and philosophical undercurrents.
Golden Axe, Revenge of Death Adder (Arcade) - Exemplary arcade beat 'em up action.
Callahan's Crosstime Saloon (PC DOS CD) - Uproariously funny and original adventure game with excellent voice acting, based on the stories by Spider Robinson.
 
So, what are some of your favorites?

Splinter cell: conviction if you havn't played it yet

Red dead redemption

Ninja gaiden series

Silent hill 2

Xexex, and I'll leave it at that. I still haven't found a game I've enjoyed more.
