Hi Sconnor3
You don't get a lot of people making comments in these group. It makes me wonder why they joined? But the last comic book convention I went to was either in 1980 or 1981. X-Men writer ( during their hey-day ) Chris Claremont was one of the guest. Being a big X-Men fan, I was in geek-boy heaven. If I were to go to September Comicon, I would like to dress up as the Green Lanter John Stewart. I would need a costume to cover up my beer belly and my big hairy man-boobs though ( Tee-hee ).
lol, thanks for the image. dude, i was 6 year NOT BORN when you went to that convention ;P We need to get you to a con dude. your geek is gasping for air! WE MUST RECUSSITATE.....and....i could use a spell checker. :: face palm ::
I didn't fully embrace my inner geekness until I became a fan of the Big Bang Theory. Prior to that I hid in the closet in shame over my love of comic books, sci-fi shows and my total dislike of sports. I have to take one baby step at a time. My next step will be the Comicon, then the next step will be attending a Star Trek convention. Hopefully, I will be a full fledge GEEK someday.
Don't feel bad, Pariah. I can't even think of a comic character that's bald and only 5'6". Maybe Krillin in DB...
*shifty eyes* Sooooo, do I get my Geek card revoked if I admit I've never been to a con?
Don't feel bad. I've only been to one comicon in the 47 years of my life. But it's never too late to start going to a comicon.
Hey, I've only been to one, about three years ago. I'm planning on hitting a few more this year, though! Anime USA was pretty cool, so I figured I'd hit a few of the Comic-Cons (Clandestine Comics, Annapolis Comic-Con).
