I remember. I remember going to comic con's and little out of the way place's just to get it. It was like you had a drug deal going down sometimes. Watching badly dubbed Dragon ball z, guyver, and gundom. I was watching it all before it become the thing to do like it is now.

Yeah, it's like anime and video games are mainstream now, and not just the realm of us nerds. No wonder the quality's going downhill. The Mundanes ruin everything, don't they. ;)

Why did Dragonball get so much attention? I'd seen a few episodes of the original, Z, and GT, and it's all pretty much the same thing: Long, drawn out chi-battles, where even if you die you're not really dead and can still come back to help. It really didn't hold my interest.

I've never understood the popularity of the Dragonball series. Bad animation, no plot, just lots of guys kicking each other's asses. If you close your eyes during a battle, while everyone is "powering up" their chi or whatever, I swear it sounds like bad porno.

Haha, I generally agree. This was the plot in a nutshell for DBZ and DBGT. On the other hand, the original Dragonball series (when Goku was a kid) was more about adventure and characters than straight up fighting.

ha dbz really went down since episode one lol its one of those usa port type anime like naruto and bleach craptatic bastardized anime as they are, ill stick with off the wall like cromartie high and abenbashi

Hey, anyone here knows any good torrent or download link for some of Eatman (Eatman and Eatman 98´) Soundtracks? There is this music that finishes a specially weird episode I once saw on cable TV that is still ringing on my head after all these years, but I can´t find it anywhere...

I love the the Live Action Guyver 2 Dark Hero,why cuz David Hayter plays him,I mean its Solid Snake as anime character,the movie is all kinds of awesome.

Hi all! I love watching subbed anime, and reading manga. Don't care for dubbed (I can't stand most of the english VAs). I started watching several years ago with Akira.

I'd have to say Haruhiko Mikimoto, to use the English name order. His designs express emotion VERY well without looking cartoony, and his characters have a soft look. |
