Its intriguing that actual stereotypes exist, thought the entire geek/ nerd thing died out 10 years ago. But still then again being called a nerd for being the smartest in class is one thing. Did you join because you'd like to meet people with similar interests (going in with the whole stereotype thing), or are having social troubles asociated to the stereoptype. No offense intended, i'm shy and take a whilt to make friends myself. Being yourself (eccetric if that is) rocks!!!

I joined because my interests
I joined because my interests usually lean toward the geeky side. So I joined in hopes of meeting someone with like interests.
As for interest and curiosity: Stop learning, start dying.

I joined because I fit the stereotype... proudly, and would like to meet some other people who do as well. I was spoiled by the fact that I was up until recently very much involved with someone who shared the same interests, and now... I want MORE. LOL.
Also, yes fadedsteps, you stop learning, and/or being curious, they might as well bury you, you've gone and died.

WOW!! I like the new look! Before it was just a dating,now I finding people w/the same interest. Anyone can't wait for the Avengers movie? Hey,why don't we have a TV/Movie thread? :-)
Ahh yes though shalt try the chat rooms lol, i guess im not patient enough. I've never been to where there was blatant stereotyping although what society deemeds to be normal- as of with everywhere was obvious. And very very irritating. Actually speaking I've never met someone face to face as a proclaimed geek.... nevermind in 6th grade i met a dude who also liked dragons and met the profile. Anyhoo I don't care much but all thats schtuff its pretty unknown to me thus the curiosity... I've travelled so much and met soo many extremely bizarre people it passes over my head. But the different the better.
