This is the story of a girl...
I live in a house in the forest with some humans, two dogs and two cats. I have worked since the age of fifteen and became a Certified Nurse Aide at sixteen. I am a Domestic Violence Advocate and work with for a anti abuse agency for over two years. I have never really given up on the nursing profession though I took a break, I am in school now getting an associates and hope to transfer to a bachelors nursing program when I graduate.
I have written almost since I can remember. I am the author of over sixty works of poetry and am working on one novel length book right now, with others in various stages of development. I often have pen smudges on my face and hands because I forget to put my pen down.
I will take pictures of almost anything (almost). I have an intense curiosity about life and how it works. I also study people and have thought about becoming a profiler for the government more than once. I want to travel to just about everywhere on the globe, probably as a disaster/relief/aide worker. I like experiencing life, it is too short and too precious to miss. I have a friend who wanted doughnuts one night, he got in his car and drove to the doughnut factory, four hours away. This explains a lot about why we are friends.
I am in love with God, crazy as you may think me, it is the only way to explain it. I abhor religion, and am often deeply saddened by the ignorant things people do in the name of religion and God. I know Him as a Person, a Friend.
I am from a Military family, and many of my friends are or have been in the Military. So, this means I can make lifelong friends in about five minutes flat. Also, that I know the pledge of allegiance, what the stars and strips on our flag mean and incredible personal cost of even the small freedoms that I enjoy.
I am a contradiction in many ways. I am very passionate about the things I care about and equally so about things I find unjust or wrong. I feel deeply, however, I rarely show emotion. I can do most things in life for myself but have recently learned to enjoy the help of true friends. I like walking in the rain but I don't like getting splashed in the pool. I learned a lot of my guiding principles from centuries past. I take friendship seriously, I am intensely loyal. I will take slights to myself with no retaliation, yet I am fiercely protective of friends and anyone else I feel that I need to defend. I like raw tomatoes but not cooked. Yes, I can be random, a very dear friend taught me how.
If you managed to stay with me thus far, congratulations. Comment if you want, I would like to get to know the community here.
Thanks for reading my introduction, told you I was a writer. :) The story that is closest to completion is about a corrupt military General who helps introduce a bio engineered disease into the U.S. His daughter, also a officer and her commander a military doctor uncover the plot and try to fight the outbreak. There are sub themes of domestic abuse and post traumatic stress disorder, among other things.
Do you like to read?

Sounds like a good plot. Yeah, I like to read allot of sci-fi books (mainly warhammer 40k) but I do like reading WWII stories also from time to time. :)
I grew up reading sci-fi, but will sometimes read some non fiction.
