Since this is the most awkward part of an online profile, and because anything I can say here would overlap with the rest of my profile, I will simply start out with a funny story.
This one time in college, I was in history class. My butt was toward the front of the chair and I was leaning back as far as I could, so all my weight was on the back of my backside. To change positions, I leaned forward to scoot back in the chair and sit up straight, but when I leaned forward, pressure I did not know was there escaped. Yeah. I farted. Really loudly. It was as if a grenade exploded. I thought "holy shit! I didn't know that was there!" I was SO embarrassed. I froze. After a few seconds or so, I started peeking around discretely to see if people were staring. They weren't.
Yes, ladies, men fart but, believe it or not, it isn't always intentional.

Profile Information
My social life:
I have a core group of close friends, several I have known for many years. I have to friends in my life I've known since elementary school. I'm content to hang out over coffee with a few good friends, enjoy some laughs and share one another's lives.
My insides:
I'm an intellectual with a pretty big sense of humor. I laugh at goofy things.
Issues of worldview are the things I am most passionate about, so that means social issues, religion and politics. I am a stern liberal who is, pretty much, progressive on about every issue and outspoken about it. With progressive Christian roots, I make my home in Unitarian-Universalism, where all religions are valued and held to reasonable skepticism.
I am passionate about social justice, especially concerning the web of issues that flow into poverty. I'm also passionate about eco-justice, including animal-rights.
Though I'm no longer enrolled in college, and haven't been for many years, I am still a student. I have a thirst for knowledge that never seems to be quenched. In addition to the aforementioned topics, I also dig behavioral studies and history.
My outsides:
Average build with broad shoulders, short with a chrome-dome, Caucasian, Irish and sunburn easily.
Occupation:
I work in journalism, covering a variety of important things relating to cultural issues and politics. So, I spend my days interviewing sources and pounding a keyboard. When I'm not doing that, I read or try not to spend too much time online, doing things I cannot do at work, like assemble a profile on a dating web site.
Other stuff about me:
My lifestyle consists of things like working, chilling, watching the Ohio State football program have a disappointing year, catching myself moping because the Ohio State football program is having a disappointing year, hanging with friends, laughing, watching movies, keeping up with news, reading, pondering my navel, discovering new blends of tea, feeding the cat and other mundane stuff.
Schools Attended:
Left blank in the interest of personal security.
Places you've worked:
Left blank in the interest of personal security.
My interests, hobbies, obsessions:
I dig comedies like Seinfeld, the Simpsons and old SNL. With movies, it's much the same. Always remember: The Dude Abides. He's out there takin' it easy for us sinners. I don't know about you, but I take comfort in that.
Music: Hard rock all the way and I have learned to really appreciate smooth jazz - especially Chris Botti. His work goes very well with candlelight, wine and appropriate company.
I love Mexican food, Chinese food and bar food; I like Italian but not the carbs and don't eat a lot of meat as a general rule, in terms of what I buy at the grocery store.
I would like to meet:
I am a left-brained man who is attracted to somewhat-eccentric, right-brained women. I think this is because I am not eccentric (in my own opinion) and their energy beckons me toward liberation. I am a existential thinker, so I gravitate toward people like me, but unless those relationships are platonic, they don't last. We talk about shit, exhaust it and get bored. I don't get bored with right-brained women because we're different and can compliment each other. That makes things interesting.
My family:
Like a Republican loaf of Wonder Bread but without the colorful spots on the packaging.
