I love DC and Marvel but sometimes it's good to go a little less mainstream. Does anyone have a favorite character that is not part of the big two? (also please try to avoid Star Wars, Buffy, or other characters from other media since they are just as mainstream as Superman et al.)
I like Dynamo 5. it is quite simply the best comic book I have ever read and when it ended I was saddened.
Project Superpowers is also worth mentioning if you can get by the slow beginning.

I am a huge fan of The Walking Dead Series of comics. I was reading it before they become Graphic novel compilations and before it became a tv series. It has a good story telling in my humble opinion.

I like mainstream comics. I'm a marvel girl. I like almost any comic with a good story. I also like slightly less known comics as well. Witchblade, Vampirella, Hellraiser, Lady of death, I zombie, Dr Who, Bluntman and chronic, Wanted (nothing at all like the bogus movie adaptation with jolie. the comic is waaaaaaaaaaaay better), etc are really good as well. Hope some of these are liked.

I'm reading THE WALKING DEAD
I'm reading THE WALKING DEAD and INVICIBLE right now. Both extremely well written by Robert Kirkman. IMAGE BABY! I still collect old X-men books. The original old X-men / Uncanny x-men (the Uncanny came later). Still love Marvel, always will just slowed down on what I've been collecting besides MTG cards.
I like the Animal Mystic series. It got a little cartoony after a while, but the original artwork was awesome! It worked fantasy and science together quite nicely. Guns and glowing nunchucks with Amazon queens, giant white tigers, dragons, a centaur-like creature named Klor, and a really hot catgirl named Ryntha.
