Hey yall! I'm Jessie. I am a 21-year-old college student studying psychology and nonprofit management. I'm a self described sorority-girl/geek hybrid. On the sorority side: I love meeting new people, going on spontaneous (sometimes dangerous)adventures, and I know what "snappy casual" is (may God have mercy on my soul). I LOVE dogs! I live in the dorm, so no pets, but as soon as I move into the real world, I am getting a shelter dog. Cats are okay, as long as they are fat.

I love kids! Seeing as that is my chosen profession, I better. However, I don't want to have my own, I want to adopt.

Moderation: don't get crazy, but don't be a prude!

I like food, all food, and I like trying new things. I think food is fuel and a tool to open communication and transfer culture. But once you let in control your life (either by eating too much or too little) it becomes a barrier rather that a bridge.

Personally, I abstain, because I don't like losing control of my thoughts and my body. But I am not going to judge another's decision.

It's good, always good.

it's good I guess? But my thing is why should I go to the gym when there is about 10.5 billion things I could be doing that are more important.

Hi, my name is Jon, I'm 27 as of writing this. I am obviously a Lord of the Rings fan. I enjoy Doctor Who and Stargate a lot as well. I cosplay on rare occasions as The 11th Doctor. I work as a computer repair technician in the DC region (primarily Northern Virginia). I used to be able to play the Double Bass, but have not played in so long that I likely couldn't anymore.

I recently realized that I wasn't being true to myself when it came to dating. I seemed to keep running into the same type of guy of which I really didn't share very many common interests. I would find one commonality and cling to that in the hopes that it would be enough. Unfortunately for me, it was never enough and I always seem to be left wanting...looking...searching.

So here I am finally realizing that I need to find someone like myself that spazzed out over the trailer to the upcoming Batman movie or drooling over the beautiful Hobbit movie trailer and retweeting the link to the trailer. I want someone that can help me finish playing Batman Arkham City on my PS3 because I just can't finish a side quest. I am looking for someone that can't wait to talk about what happened on the last episode of Doctor Who or True Blood...or even watching their reaction as we watch shows together. I need someone that can overlook my quirks and non-supermodel status to truly accept me for me.

I love to laugh. I enjoy dry humor and I am not easily offended. I smile a lot especially when I get nervous. I own a bird. His name is Big Bird and he is a male Grey Cockatiel. He is a crazy little guy and keeps me going and gives me strength. I read a lot of vampire fiction and love all things about vampires. I swing more towards True Blood vampires than wimpy Twilight vampires. I do play video games but I don't generally get a chance to play much. I love listening to music and rocking out. I don't play any instruments but I do tend to sing a lot. I sing everywhere...work, grocery store, shower and the car. I tend to not realize I am singing until someone points it out. I can carry a tune but I am not Amy Lee. I enjoy going to concerts and seeing live bands. I also like vegging out at home and catching up on my dvr shows. I do go to the gym after work most days except for Fridays usually. I also love to bake. Cheesecakes, Cakes/cupcakes,and all sorts of pies. I have been told I should open up a bakery, maybe if I was 10 years younger. True Blood, Once Upon a Time, Being Human (BBC and SyFy), Chuck, Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who, Torchwood and Walking Dead to name a few. I admittedly also enjoy musicals and yes I watch Glee. Addicted to Glee! I love superheroes and used to collect comic books. I generally am a Marvel girl but I do love me some Dark Knight. I also watch Nascar, Indy car, American Le Mans and Grand Am. I don't drink much usually 1 margarita a week. I am not big on beer but mixed drinks I enjoy or a nice hard pear cider. I enjoy sweet wines, Rieslings mostly. I might have a drink if I go out to dinner or the occassional glass of wine at home but I always keep it to a limit, especially if I am driving.

I love food. I try to watch my portions but I won't deprive myself. If I want a hamburger I will get a hamburger. When I want a salad I will eat a salad. I am trying to eat healthier and I try to find healthy alternatives. I enjoy mexican and italian foods...but chinese take out is my weakness. I love chinese food. I am new to sushi but I do enjoy what I have had. I do eat red meat, chicken and some seafood. I do have a sweet tooth and love a good mocha or latte. I have tried to eliminate soda from my diet but I do enjoy a good root beer from time to time.

I don't use anything illegal. I try to only take medicines/headache remedies only when needed.

I like being clean. I try to keep my hair done, but occassionaly I wear baseball caps when I don't feel like doing my hair. I like a guy that smells nice and bathes regularly. I don't have a preference on hair length or facial hair. Most of the characters in my vampire books have long flowing tresses.

My thoughts on Fitness:

I am embrassing working out. I have been working out regularly since October of 2011 (4-5 times a week at a gym). I generally walk on a treadmill at varying speeds and inclines for 45 minutes to an hour. I occassionally workout on the nautilus machines and work with weights. I want to feel better physically and I am working towards losing weight. I have lost almost 20 lbs since I started working out and eating healthy.

My thoughts on Fashion:

I dress to be comfortable. I have to be business casual for work. Outside of work I am generally a jeans kind of girl. I am not very comfortable in dresses but I still try to be mostly fashion forward. I just always try to be comfortable in what I am wearing. When I am hanging out at home I tend to be in workout/lounge pants and a tshirt.

Hi, I'm Matt. I'm a geek of many trades, but most of all, I am a self-professed Music Geek. I'm constantly seeking out & listening to new songs/bands/musicians (as well as great older stuff I missed along the way) that cross my path in some way. Recently I had the chance to cull all the music I possess into a single itunes library and was still slightly disappointed to discover that it would only take about a 1/3 of a year to listen to my entire collection (for now anyway). And if I'm motivated & in the company of people who are interested, I can prattle on for hours about all sorts of music history & band trivia (occasionally this can happen without provocation though). I also play guitar, but mostly at an amateur level, what I really enjoy is collecting them; searching for a new guitar is like seeking out a fine painting or sculpture.

I also geek out for many things sci-fi related: Doctor Who, both the old & redux series (the Fourth Doctor is my favorite with the Fifth a close second, although I'm also partial to the Eleventh [same first name and all]); Star Trek (primarily the Original series & Next Gen, I wouldn't consider myself a Trekkie or a Trekker but I wouldn't turn down the chance to attend a convention, in fact it's my goal to attend Comic Con at least once), and Futurama, which is the show I willfully geek out the most for. I also grew up on a fairly steady diet of Monty Python & Fawlty Towers, so it practically goes without saying that I'm a huge Brit-com devotee; my recent favorites have been The IT Crowd, The Mighty Boosh, Spaced & Look Around You.

I love delving into the world of science (even just saying the word out loud, emphatically... "SCIENCE!" [like in the Thomas Dolby song]). I primarily go about this by reading amazing (and relatively [not an intended pun] complicated) books about space, time, physics, quantum mechanics and the history of different scientific fields & people (particularly Carl Sagan, Richard Feynman, Neil DeGrasse Tyson & Michio Kaku). I'm particularly fond of books that incorporate science with elements of pop culture, history & sociology.

Dogs are perhaps the best animals in the world. I grew up with a dog, and will have my kids grow up with dogs. Cats are the devil's spawn, no matter how cute I may think they are. I do have a leopard gecko named Mercury. He is my baby.

As long as kids are raised with care, they'll turn out to be good people. I will not allow my future kids to turn into rotten, ignorant brats.

Alcohol is fine in moderation. I don't drink at the moment because (1) I'm underage and would rather not get a fine for it, and (2) because alcoholism is on both sides of my family.

I'm 29 and separated. I'm a ginger, Doctor Who would be jealous, and a really nice guy who is fun, funny, and interesting. A lot of people say that, but I've done a lot in my life in a short time. I have a collection of Japanese music and love Japan (not much of an anime fan though). I'll try just about anything once but I enjoy video games, music (writing and listening), TV, movies of all types, frisbee golf, computers, technology, smart conversation, and so much more. I geek out about a lot of things but I have a few passions. I love going to concerts and events. Video games have been a major part of my life, kind of like how reading is for some geeks. I do read sometimes and know that I'm not a game addict. I don't play MMO. I'm a bit of a philosopher, I like reading about ancient philosophers and reflecting on life and the meaning of things. A lot of things in my life have opened my eyes to a much bigger world. See the forest for the trees, or in my case, each leaf on a tree and how every one is unique. I mostly do this through music.
I'm very dependable and loyal to a fault. I've been in very long term relationships that were terrible for me so I'd like to meet someone who knows how a relationship is supposed to work.
